The 2516 and 2532 are 16,384-bit and 32,768, ultra-violet light-erasable, electrically programmable read only memories. They have 8,192 bits organized as 1024 words of 8-bit length. The devices are fabricated using N-channel silicone-gate technology for high speed and simple interface with MOS and bipolar circuits. All inputs (including program data inputs) can be driven by Series 74 TTL circuits without the use of external pull-up resistors. Each output can drive one Series 74 or 74LS TTL circuit without external resistors. The data outputs are three-state for OR-tying multiple devices on a common bus.
Since these EPROMs operate from a single +5V supply (in the read mode), they are ideal for use in microprocessor systems. One other (+25V) supply is needed for programming but all programming signals are TTL level, requiring a single 50 ms pulse. For programming outside of the system, existing EPROM programmers can be used. Locations may be programed single, in blocks, or at random. Total programming time for all bits for the 2516 is 100 seconds and 200 seconds for the 2532.
