A surface mounting door interlock mechanism employing a short roller standard V3 type microswitch and a sprung plunger which in the normal free position applies no downward force on the microswitch. If the plunger is pushed in against the spring tension or pulled out against the mechanical stop, it forces the switch contacts to changeover. An ideal solution for any application that would normally require the denergising of a circuit as panel doors or covers are open while allowing forced re-energising for test and maintanance purposes. The front plunger has a threaded hole for external user attachments if required and the base plated is threaded for rear or side mounting. Connection to the microswitch are through solder terminals.
