The XY-PWM is a 1-Channel, LCD Display Signal Generator with a frequency range of 1Hz-150KHz. The output is Pulse Width Modulated and the Duty Cycle can be adjusted between 0 and 100%. The unit can be used as a square wave generator, pulse generator, dimmer or motor speed controller. It is intended for use with DC brush motor controllers.

Operating instructions.
The unit can operate in two modes, 'Normal' and 'Precision'.
In the 'Normal' mode the frequency range is between 1Hz and 150KHz with a duty cycle of 0% to 100%. The duty cycle accuracy in this mode is 1%.
In the 'Precision' mode the frequency range is between 1Hz and 15KHz with a duty cycle of 0% to 100%. The duty cycle accuracy in this mode is 0.1%.
Frequency Setting.
Short press the rotary switch to enter in setting mode. Rotate the potentiometer to set the required frequency.
Long press (10 seconds) changes the operating mode from 'Normal' to 'Precision' and vice versa.
Medium press (5 seconds) locks the set parameters to avoid unwanted changes.
The frequency is displayed in four ways as follows.
- Display 'XXX Hz'. No decimal point. Frequency range 1Hz to 999Hz. Frequency steps of 1Hz.
- Display 'X.XX KHz'. Left decimal point. Frequency range 1.00KHz to 9.99KHz. Frequency steps of 0.01KHz.
- Display 'XX.X KHz'. Right decimal point. Frequency range 10.0KHz to 99.9KHz. Frequency steps of 0.1KHz.
- Display 'XXX KHz'. No decimal point. Frequency range 1KHz to 150KHz. Frequency steps of 1KHz.
Examples.
- Output frequency of 100Hz is displayed as '100 Hz'
- Output frequency of 1.91KHz is displayed as '1.91 KHz'
- Output frequency of 52.1KHz is displayed as '52.1 KHz'
- Output frequency of 134KHz is displayed as '134 KHz'
The unit will exit frequency set mode after 3 seconds of no adjustments from potentiometer.
Duty cycle setting.
In the normal display mode (not locked) rotate the potentiometer to change the duty cycle value.
Operating steps.
- Connect to power supply
- Press rotary switch for 10 second to switch 'Normal' mode and 'Precision' mode
- Short press rotary switch to set frequency and change value by rotating switch
- In normal display mode rotate potentiometer to set duty cycle
- Press for 5 seconds to lock / unlock set parameters
