DESCRIPTION
Regata II is a high quality, rugged and reliable marine transceiver that has been designed with the latest technology. Regata II allows you to transmit and receive on all international channels of the VHF marine band in complete security, as established by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Thanks to the built-in DSC system Class “D”, Regata II is in conformity
with the new marine equipment Directive which will come into force starting
from 2006. The DSC system allows the transmission and reception of coded
and world-known signals concerning:
A: Vessel identification number
B: Alarm signals such as:
Fire
Sinking
Emergency
Piracy
Grounding
Collision etc..

One of the main features of the Regata II is the ATIS system (required
for use in inland waters) useful for the automatic identification of the vessel: every time the PTT is pushed,
a unique and identifying number of the boat
will be transmitted.
Regata II, besides, can be connected to a GPS receiver (direct connection
to the model GPS 200 or connection
to other receivers suitable with PS2 connector) for the continuous
updating of the vessel position; the marine
transceiver is also supplied with another built-in receiver which
operates automatically and continuously on the
channel 70 (dedicated to the DSC communication).
The Regata II is manufactured using high quality electronic components only and conforms to the commercial standards giving you clear and reliable communications and many years of trouble free service.
Regata II is controlled by a microprocessor permitting advanced features
and performances. It controls the
nautical band tuning and even advanced functions such as Dual Watch,
Triple Watch and the channel memories.
Main features:
• Principal buttons duplicated in the microphone for faster accessibility
– channel selection, transmission power, and channel 16 recall
• Backlit LCD Display with adjustable contrast (for optimal viewing).
• Adjustable Squelch
• Channel 16 recall button
• Transmission power can be selected: high 25W, low 1W
• Connection to an external speaker (optional)
• Dual Watch function: it allows the monitoring of channel 16 while
you are tuned on a channel at your choice
• Triple Watch: same as Dual watch and monitors also channel 9.
• Scan function
• 10 memories
