PMR 446 - License free radios

The PMR 446 License free radios operate on the UHF 446 Mhz band. With a power output of 500mW and a range of 2-3 Km (line of sight) this range of Low Power Devices offers the user low cost communications without the hassle of yearly licences.

They are suitable for use on construction sites, shops, restaurants, security, installers or just keeping in touch with your cycling friends. If low cost, short range communication is what you need, then the following models will suit your requirements.

MIDLAND G11 PMR 446 LICENSE-FREE RADIO

Midland G11 is the brand new "Semi- professional" PMR446 transceiver aimed mainly at the commercial sector.
Small and with an ultra compact design, This rugged and sturdy mechanical frame device, provides reliable and cost effective communications in building sites, schools, hotels, shopping arcades etc.
Supplied with a 1600mAH li-on battery, belt clip, antenna and belt clip.

The Alan G6XT offers the user many features whilst at the same time remain easy to use. The new G6XT features the “baby monitoring “function otherwise it retains the same features of the earlier G6 versions; Hands free operation (VOX) with 3 sensitivity levels, keypad lock, low battery indicator, illuminated display amongst other features.

Don't forget that if the battery packs run low during operation, you can always use standard alkaline AAA batteries (x4)

One new feature is the Vibra Alert – very useful if the G8 is used in noisy environments.
