The PMR 446 License free radios operate on the UHF 446 Mhz band. With a power output of 500mW and a range of 2-3 Km (line of sight) this range of Low Power Devices offers the user low cost communications without the hassle of yearly licences.

They are suitable for use on construction sites, shops, restaurants, security, installers or just keeping in touch with your cycling friends. If low cost, short range communication is what you need, then the following models will suit your requirements.

Albrecht Tectalk Pro

The Albrecht Tectalk PRO XL is a semi professional license free radio. Compact and versatile, this rugged IP54 rated transceiver is for those who seek a reliable and cost effective mode of communications on the work site or in the most demanding situations.

Supplied with a lithium-ion battery and desktop charger (5 hours) and belt holster, the Tectalk Pro has 8 channels, 38 CTCSS and 104 DCS tones. Range is approximately 5 Kms line of sight.

The new generation of the Tectalk Contact features a solid yet user friendly transceiver with improved audio and many other features. Suitable for leisure or work the Tectalk Contact 2 is supplied with three rechargeable batteries and desktop charger.
Hands free operation (VOX) is available with three level adjustments and the 38 CTCSS tones (or 104 DCS tones) per channel allow the users to converse in relative privacy.
