To extend the lifespan, these LEDs must be cooled with an aluminum heatsink or surface such as an aluminum plate or housing. These 3W LEDs are attached to star-shaped cooling plates. For the connection of these LEDs, an LED driver of 3W is also recommended, which supplies a voltage of at least 3.6V and a maximum current of 700mA.
