PMR 446 - License free radios

The PMR 446 License free radios operate on the UHF 446 Mhz band. With a power output of 500mW and a range of 2-3 Km (line of sight) this range of Low Power Devices offers the user low cost communications without the hassle of yearly licences.

They are suitable for use on construction sites, shops, restaurants, security, installers or just keeping in touch with your cycling friends. If low cost, short range communication is what you need, then the following models will suit your requirements.

ALAN G5 - sold in pairs

Kit includes 2 x Alan G5, batteries, belt clips and one plug-in charger to charge two units at the same time.

The entry level Alan G5 offers an LPD at a great price. Very user friendly. Hands free VOX operation, keypad lock, scan and CTCSS are all available features.

The Alan G6XT offers the user many features whilst at the same time remain easy to use. The new G6XT features the “baby monitoring “function otherwise it retains the same features of the earlier G6 versions; Hands free operation (VOX) with 3 sensitivity levels, keypad lock, low battery indicator, illuminated display amongst other features.

Don't forget that if the battery packs run low during operation, you can always use standard alkaline AAA batteries (x4)

Features include: hands free operation (VOX) with 3 sensitivity levels, keypad lock, low battery indicator, emergency button , illuminated display amongst others.

One new feature is the Vibra Alert – very useful if the G8 is used in noisy environments.
